Soviets Declare Ideological Victory

Pravda, the Russian propaganda ragnewspaper declares "American capitalism gone with a whimper." Read their full story here. Some excerpts:

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed...

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was...

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls... First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture... Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses...

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year...America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?
Nothing is over until we decide it is. and it ain't over yet.

  1. Maybe you wingnuts missed the news almost 20 years ago, but the Soviet Union doesn't exist anymore.

  2. I'm confused by the intended POV of this item. The writer expresses contempt for Pravda as propaganda, then gives credence to its criticism of President Obama and the state of our country. You can't have it both ways. The writer* appears to have started with a target and gone in search of an arrow to shoot at it.

    * But the way, why don't the authors on this blog sign their articles? Obviously, I'm posting this anonymously, but I'm just a commenter. At best, unsigned blog articles come across like press releases; at worst they appear deceptive. To all you nameless authors, even a pseudonym would be preferable.

  3. Without a "Soviet Union" type of enemy these cold-war relics are lost as to who to convince others to hate.

So they (in addition to the Cincinnati Tea Party) have taken to misleading others to believe that "Satan's Evil Soviet Union" is about to rise in their own backyard. Unfortunately, they manage to prey on the fears of some ignorant readers who subsequently become outraged at something that isn't happening.

Anyone who needs to play up their point with more rhetoric than evidence is attempting to make a point that has no basis.

Let us not forget how they aligned themselves with the Bush administration, which came up with the ironically named "Free Speech Zones".

  4. It is important to note that this article isn't *actually* Pravda. It's a blogger, like you or me, hosted on their website. COAST is drawing far too large a conclusion based on this tiny bit of text.
