Defenders of Economic Freedom

Club for Growth released their 2013 Congressional Scorecard today, and to no one's surprise, local Congressmen Chabot, Massie and Wenstrup all received the Club's highest honor, "Defender of Economic Freedom" 

Club for Growth honors those whose annual and lifetime scores are both 90 or above. All three do Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky proud for staying true to their conservative roots.

COAST is proud to say that we were some of the first and biggest supporters of all three early in their political careers.

Three Conservative Heroes!

The Tristate is proud today of its Congressional Delegation. Ohio Congressmen Chabot and Wenstrup were joined by Kentucky's Thomas Massie in voting to defeat the bloated, wasteful Farm Bill.

COAST Applauds Massie, Wenstrup

In the debate over increasing Federal involvement in the taxing and regulatory power of the states, two members of the local Congressional Delegation deserve particular praise.

Thomas Massie of Northern Kentucky and Brad Wenstrup of Southern Ohio's District 2. Massie wrote a letter to Speaker Boehner opposing the "Marketplace Fairness Act" (a nice wholesome sounding name for a truly horrible bill). Wenstrup was among the first to sign the letter.

COAST applauds the efforts of Massie and Wenstrup to protect against the expanse of government via the internet tax.

Now we just need him to back it up at the bargaining table. We encourage Congressmen Chabot, Wenstrup and Massie to keep up the fight.
