Time and time again we've heard the phrase "the Chicago way." Little did we know all that the Chicago way entails.
Graft, corruption? You Betcha!
Take for instance this story in the Chicago Tribune about the contract with Redflex in Chicago:
"The internal probe found that company executives systematically courted former city transportation official John Bills with thousands of dollars in free trips to the Super Bowl and other sporting events, sources familiar with the investigation told the Tribune...also raising more questions about the company's hiring of a longtime Bills friend who received more than $570,000 in company commissions as a customer service representative in Chicago, the sources said. "
All sorts of free trips and illegal gifts for the political cronies involved in doling out these contracts. Is it any wonder Mayor Mallory and Roxanne Qualls are so hell bent on privatizing the enforcement of parking meters in Cincinnati?
