Politico: Turkish Coalition gave nearly $600,000 to outgoing Rep. Schmidt

Yesterday, the 2011 Financial Disclosure Form filed by Congressman Jean Schmidt with the House Clerk was released to the public, and once again it contained both false statements and breathtaking admissions of corruption on the part of the Congressman from Hamilton County's eastern half and beyond.

First, Jean Schmidt denied that she has any liabilities to any third party, which we know is untrue as she owes repayment of the more than $1/2 million in debt illegally paid by the Turkish Coalition of America on her behalf.

Second, it shows that in calendar year 2011, Jean Schmidt accepted yet another $153,000 in illegal gifts from the Turkish Coalition of America in 2011.  This corruption is all the more remarkable since in January of 2011 she was informed she was under formal investigation by the Office of Congressional Ethics for accepting the same type of illegal gifts in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Politico has the story here.  The Enquirer here: "Schmidt recieved more than $150k from Turkish coalition in 2011."  Krikorian's blog here and here.

You go girl! I'm very proud of the money I gave to Jean Schmidt on 10/26/11 to help return her to Congress. Now we're stuck with Wenstrup.
