Our next United States Senator, Dr. Rand Paul, will attend a Town Hall meeting of local conservative candidates at Guy's N' Dolls in Cold Spring this Wednesday March17th.

This event starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30pm.   

The address is 4210 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY in Campbell County  just south of Newport.

(Take the I-471 bridge south exit at US 27 'Alexandria -Cold Springs ....drive south on highway US 27 2 miles to Guy's and Dolls on the right) Bring your friends and hear Dr. Rand Paul, the champion of the U.S. Constitution.

On December 16, 2007, supporters of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul broke the all time fundraising record by raising $6 million in a single day, holding tea parties throughout the USA to protest an oppressive government.

The sentiment spread like a flame of liberty across the entire country, as more people became aware of the dangers government control poses to their lives, liberty and property. Millions of people from all political backgrounds now participate in local tea parties, and are proving too volatile to channel into supporting politics as usual, causing headaches for politicians of both parties who would ignore the Constitution or vote to further burden the people.

Dr. Rand Paul’s race is a microcosm of the ideological struggle afoot. Founder of Kentucky Taxpayers United, Dr. Paul is one of the concerned citizens who stepped forward from the movement to fight the status quo and restore our founders’ vision of liberty. He has shaken up politics in Kentucky, rising above the establishment candidate in the polls, and outraising all candidates in the third quarter.

On December 16, the diverse coalition of patriots backing Dr. Paul will attempt to outraise the establishment machine once again, a feat that would put Rand in a commanding position according to this analysis at the Bluegrass Bulletin. Without the support of lobbyists and special interests, the success of this effort will depend entirely on donations of any size from concerned individuals. Meet Future Senator Rand Paul This Weekend

Even if you don't live or vote in Kentucky, their next senator will have a profound effect on the composition of our federal government. That's one reason you should take an interest in this race. Another is the quality of the candidate. Rand Paul is the son of Congressman, and former Presidential Candidate Ron Paul, and has as much common sense and fiscal conservatism as his famous father. Plus he's a very personable and down-to-earth guy who loves to discuss politics with regular folks like us. He's also a proud member of COAST.

NoKY Tea Party for Oppressed CA Farmers

The Situation
In actions that can only be described as lacking the most basic humanity, the U.S. Congress has turned off the water to Central Valley farmers, leaving their land dry, their field's fallow, all in an effort to protect a small 2-inch minnow. You read that right, tens of thousands are now unemployed and waiting in food lines because of the federal government's decision to protect a fish.

The Effect
Not only do we have farmers out of work and on the verge of losing their farms, but this is the 'bread basket of America' and we ALL depend on these farmers for food. Unless legislation changes things in the next few weeks, it will be too late for the Farmers to get water for 2010 and we will begin importing 97% of our food.

In addition, if the environmental policy of the federal government can shut off irrigation water to thousands of acres in California and in so doing eliminate the American dream for tens of thousands of American farmers, what is to stop them from coming to your neighborhood, county or state and doing the same thing to you, your family or neighbors?

Rand Paul Addresses KY-COAST This Sunday

Dr. Rand Paul will be speaking to a membership meeting of the Northern Kentucky Chapter of COAST this Sunday. Rand is the devoted son of Texas Congressman & recent Presidential Candidate Ron Paul, and a respected eye surgeon from Bowling Green. He has been successful in his efforts with Kentucky Taxpayers United and has been active with Take Back Kentucky for several years. He shares most of his father's views and is poised to enter the race for U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning's seat if the 77-year-old sports icon decides to retire.

Northern Kentucky Launches COAST Chapter

An enthusiastic group of COAST volunteers is launching a new Chapter in northern Kentucky to bring the message of truly limited government to the Commonwealth.

The Chapter will hold its inaugural event on Sunday, June 21 from 1 to 5 PM at Bulldog's Roadhouse Bulldog's 2015 Declaration Drive, Independence, KY 41051. The location is just a few miles south of Covington on Madison Pike exit from I-275 at Ky 17 (3-L Highway).

We are pleased to feature Dr. Rand Paul at the event. Dr. Paul, son of Presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul, is exploring a run for the United States Senate from Kentucky. Also featured at the event will be COAST Chairman Jason Gloyd.

COAST Salutes Walton, KY

It's not often that government gets something right. But when they do, we owe them a hearty "Thank you." Our thanks today go out to greater Cincinnati's own Walton, Kentucky, for being a model of fiscal conservatism.

Even though they project their tax rolls will increase by over $20 million this year due to the Walton Towne Center, they're spending less than they did last year and boosting their surplus, according to this Enquirer story.

"In the city of Walton, our budget is based on last year's forecast: what we actually got in," Mayor Trzop said. "We can forecast (future revenues), but we don't spend them. The budget is built for what we actually got last year, and then we let the future take care of itself."

While some cities are spending their reserves and lowering services for their citizens, Walton is giving its employees a 2.5% raise without any increase in taxes. And they continue to not levy payroll or occupational license taxes on businesses.

That's our kind of town!
