Amy Murray Leading in the City Council Endorsement Race

According to a review of endorsements over at the enjoyment and contemplation blog, Amy Murray leads city council candidates and John Cranley leads in the mayors race for most endorsements.

Murray is supported by eight groups: Republican Party, Charter Committee, Green Party, Chamber of Commerce, the Homebuilders Association, Board of Realtors, Fraternal Order of Police and Save Cincinnati.

Cranley enjoys the support of the Green Party, Fraternal Order of Police, International Association of Fire Fighters and Save Cincinnati. While Qualls has only one endorsement listed.

Also, though not noted by the blog, Murray and Cranley were both endorsed by the Enquirer.

The seven candidates with the most endorsements all oppose the streetcar, and the top eight all oppose the Parking Plot. Makes you think the reason all those incumbents are avoiding talking about their records is because they know the voters hate those records.

We look forward to comparing the endorsement rankings to to final results tomorrow night.

Kevin Osborne Uncovers Qualls Streetcar Profiteering

WCPO's Kevin Osborne uncovers questions regarding Roxanne Qualls' work as a real estate agent, specifically selling properties along the Streetcar route allowing her to profit from her votes on Council.

Recall that when John Cranley and Chris Bortz faced conflicts between their public duties and their private businesses, they requested Ethics Opinions from the Ohio Elections Commission. Thus far, Roxanne has not requested an opinion on the Ethics or legality of her actions.

Osborne discussed the issue with Brian Thomas on 55 KRC this morning, listen below.

As Brian Thomas said this morning:

"It is a reflection of character that you don't go ahead and do the right thing and ask for an ethics opinion upfront."

Roxanne Qualls - No Class

Cincinnati's voters get to exercise their God-given right to have their voice heard on issues of public importance. Specifically, today is the special primary in Cincinnati's Mayoral race.

If you haven't voted yet, get to the polls immediately! Turnout is expected to be low, so your voice will be even louder! Make your voice heard.

Before you vote, consider that only one candidate in this race pushed through the horrible, anti-democratic, disenfranchising, budget buster Parking Plot Deal. And more importantly, only one candidate took away your right to vote on that important issue.

Roxanne Qualls is the boondoggling, Disenfranchising, Queen of Bad Ideas. She is undeserving of your vote.

What's worse, her ads attacking John Cranley are beneath the dignity of the office. We're reminded of JFK's comment about Nixon: "No Class."

Sadly, the words were never more appropriate than today.

Let Roxanne Qualls know that you're tired of the backroom deals, the underhandedness, the sleazy attack ads.

Today, Vote NO on Qualls.

September 10 is a good day to Dump Qualls

Cincinnati's next four years starts tomorrow. Voters will decide who the final two candidates to serve as mayor through 2017 will be.

Everyone expects it to come down to John Cranley and Roxanne Qualls.

While COAST endorsed neither of those two candidates, we remind you that Roxanne Qualls supports the Streetcar and orchestrated the Dastardly Parking Plot - which disenfranchised every Cincinnatian!

The choice is clear on September 10 (and every day really) ANYONE BUT QUALLS!

If you didn't vote early, click here to find your polling place.

Because Roxanne Qualls took away your right to vote on the Parking Plot, the only way to voice your opinion on that horrible deal is to vote against the people who stole your vote!

Make your voice Heard. Vote No on Qualls!

John Cranley didn't steal your vote
Jim Berns didn't steal your vote
Sandra Queen Nobel steal your vote

The only candidate on tomorrow's ballot who stole your right to vote against the Parking Plot is Roxanne Qualls!

Make her pay for her actions - Vote NO ON QUALLS

New Ad from Cranley

We are excited to see that the Mayor's race is a real race. Qualls has to answer to the voters for her actions on council.

John Cranley and Brian Thomas Discuss Streetcar, Mayor's Race

Cincinnati Mayoral Candidate, John Cranley, spoke with Brian Thomas this morning on 55KRC. Cranley discussed the Cincinnati Streetcar Boondoggle (he is opposed to this wasteful program), the Mayor's race and the latest fetish of our crazy council - Portland Loos - $130,000 public toilets that Chris Seelbach wants to install throughout downtown.

Cranley: You don't start a major capital project without funding in place

Some voices of sanity are -- too late -- creeping in to the Streetcar debate, as just in the last few weeks the City has committed to buying the five Streetcar vehicles from a company in Spain.

However, in Friday's Business Courier speaking to reporter Dan Monk, former Vice Mayor of the CIty and 2013 Mayoral candidate John Cranley spoke some common sense -- that the City has no business proceeding with the Streetcar project without the funding in place

John Cranley and Brian Thomas

John Cranley discussed the Cincinnati Budget on 55KRC this morning with Brian Thomas.  Well worth a listen.
